The Narrative

The past few weeks have been full of things to have tantrums about.  I could write a book about all of the crap that’s going down.  Let’s review a few….

General Kelly gave an interview to Laura Ingraham on the first night of her new show on Fox News.  She asked him his opinion of removing statues and he discussed how neither side in the Civil War wanted to compromise and thus, it led to war (I’m obviously paraphrasing, but that was the gist of it). So the leftist media ran with this and implied that those in the White House support slavery.  Huh?

Sarah Sanders slapped that down fast in a press conference.  Let me just say that I love her. She takes no crap.  But, of course, that can’t be the end of the tale.  The LA Times published an op-ed that called her a “chunky soccer mom.”  What the actual @!$%????

General Kelly has been a target of a smear campaign since his brilliant and moving press conference where he explained to the vultures that he believed the last sacred thing was the way we treat our military.  Remember his son was killed in service to our nation.

During that press conference, the General called Frederica Wilson an “empty barrel.”  To which she replied he was “racist” and later claimed everyone in the White House was a “white supremacist.” The so-called “rockstar” needs to find a hat that doesn’t squeeze her head.

Then a disgusting anti-Ed Gillespie television ad financed by the Latino Victory Fund was released.  I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know much about him, but I somehow doubt that all people who support him are hateful racists.  Two young Hispanic children are being chased by a loud pick up truck, replete with a Confederate flag and a Tea Party license plate.  The children run and of course, tell a young Muslim girl in Hijab and an African American boy to run.  The ad ends with footage from Charlottesville.

Let’s summarize.  President Trump is a white supremacist, General Kelly is a white supremacist, Sarah Sanders is a FAT white supremacist, Ed Gillespie is a white supremacist, everyone in the White House is a white supremacist, all Trump voters are white supremacists.

Then on Halloween, a RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST, drove a rented Home Depot truck onto a bike path in New York City.  Eight people were killed, including six on vacation from other countries.  The RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST also hit a school bus, injuring students.  Children.

Cue the screeching.  Because I actually said the words RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST, I will be told that I am condemning an ENTIRE RELIGION.

So….it’s okay to say ALL if we are referring to the Trump “side” but we can’t call out a subgroup of Muslim people who have a twisted ideology.

The narrative is alive and well. Sadly.
